The ConnectR is for visiting people while you are somewhere else, by way of a small red circular robot that you can remote control, and which transmits sound and video.<\/p>\n<p>The parallels to Kafka&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Metamorphosis\">The Metamorphosis<\/a> are unbearable. You have been transformed into a small robot, and people will view you as such.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jesperjuul.net\/ludologist\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/10\/inner_page_swoosh_6.jpg\" alt=\"ConnectR\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What would you use it for? According to the materials:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-top: 10px\">\n<li>Participate in family moments even though you&#8217;re working late<\/li>\n<li class=\"sidelist\" style=\"cursor: default\" onmouseover=\"this.className='sidelisthover';javascript:hide_div('family');javascript:show_div('story');\" onmouseout=\"this.className='sidelist';javascript:hide_div('story');javascript:show_div('family');\">On a business trip? Read your kids a story and see their faces light up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fun and awkwardness ensues when everybody is seated at the table, but dad is stuck on the floor.<br \/>\n&#8220;Dad is busy, but he is visiting us as a vacuum-like red robot.
