As of January 1st 2008, I have started in my new job as a video game researcher and lecturer at the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab at MIT.
I am really looking forwards to working here with a great group of new colleagues and students.

Funny, back in early December when the GAMBIT lab was presenting their work at the Boston Post Mortem IDGA meeting an overhead map of their new offices came up on the slide presentation and the presenter made note of the empty squares to the left, saying something along the lines of “these empty offices, we still need to fill these.”
I wonder if you ended up in one, haha.
Awesome! I visit GAMBIT all the time, so we’re sure to bump into each other. (Also, you may want to consider attending next week’s Boston Post Mortem.)

I’m a student of ENJMIN, i don’t know if you remember us, but you came to give a talk to Angoulême and I liked your insight.
I am actually looking for a internship in game design or game research… is it possible to get one at GAMBIT? it really looks very interesting, all this concentration of gaming academia in one place… makes me drool, actually…
And what could I say more than “have fun!”

Congratulations! I only discovered your blog recently but it’s always great to cyber-meet another games researcher – I’m a PhD student in the UK.
However I’ll be in the US on internship at the Education Arcade at MIT in the spring, and I understand that they and GAMBIT work closely together, so it’s likely I may bump into you then. :)
