A History of Social Games

Jon Radoff has posted his history of social games. I am obviously a fan of such diagrammatic histories because it helps us think about how games have developed over time. (Such diagrams are simplifications, of course, but that is what makes them more useful than simply listing every game every made or played.)

Thanks for posting. You might want to get the slightly updated version (on the website now). I made a couple slight changes based on some excellent commenter feedback, and wanted to incorporate them. And since the Web let’s us do that…I did!

I think I would add “ladder” RTS games, considering there is strategy board games and “high scores” arcades.
