Just finished my Game Developers 2009 conference talk, Beyond Balancing: Using Five Elements of Failure Design to Enhance Player Experiences.

    Well, yes, but realistically I think failure has been more systematically studied in education than games, hence some of the theories I have been using actually come from education.
